I have made it to the new apartment and loving it and my new neighborhood. I realized during this move that I have moved 7 times in 10 years and that is way too much, man. What was I thinking? haha... Anyway, always lived in NJ or in a NY boro, but this time I have made it to Manhattan and just love it here. It's a goal accomplished!!! Got the new couch and the apartment is coming along nicely little by little. Now maybe the twitch in my eye will go away, lol. So things to come this month: next week my interview with Hurt all week long and CrueFest 2 on Tuesday. Also got Stimulate This tour in Philly before the month ends. Got a few dates at the end of the month and into Spet for Labor Day weekend to fill in on CBS-TV doing traffic reports. Also a big special is coming for Spirit Rocks, so stay tuned for that info. Always great to hang with you everyday, thanks for all the support.

So, I am moving!! It wasn't something I intended to do this year, but I see it as a blessing in disguise and I'm now totally psyched about my new home. After a stressful month apartment hunting, I found the perfect spot. Now I just gotta get settled for the next house party haha... In the process, work is keeping me pretty busy between Octane, Classic Rewind, The Message, making my Monday pit stop on The Catholic Guy show and festivals/concerts. Gotta say I am enjoying it all and welcome the craziness. Oh...I also learned this month that I need knee surgery. I took a fall on the NYC streets while the road was chopped up before repaving and busted both knees. Turns out I tore my meniscus in 2 spots on my left knee. I have surgery scheduled for September. Just another thing to add to the plate lol. I haven't been able to run since the end of April and really do a good workout, which is killing me, but ya know, I'd rather take care of this now, so I'm good to go for the rest of time!! So this is the latest update and I'll work at keeping the site current over the next few weeks while I make my move. Bare with me for any delays. Thanks for hanging with me at Sirius XM, you rock!!

Wow, can't believe the summer is half way over. We haven't even had much of a summer around NYC as it's been rainy and cold. But... things are looking up & it's warming up. July will be a crazy month between work events, packing, looking for an apartment & then moving. I hate moving but it's something that I was kinda forced into and now I'm excited about it. Trying not to let the stress get too high and just go with the belief that everything happens for a reason. Tomorrow night, I'm heading to see Judas Priest, Whitesnake & Pop Evil and damn excited about it!!! I'll do my best to keep all the sites updated as best as I can thru the month, but definitely bare with me until things calm down. Once I'm settled in the new place I'll have more time to keep on top of things. Thanks for all the love and support. OH, I got an official link to my facebook page now too www.facebook.com/siriuskayla Become a fan!! Luv ya, Kayla

So the tattoo party was a huge success this weekend. 7 people got work done and it was a chill drinking kinda day. Thanks to Alexis and Mike for coming up to NY to ink us all up. Last minute phone call from Jeff, drummer of In This Moment, asking me if I knew of any tattoo artists and I said I was throwing a tattoo party, so he joined the day. Pretty cool experience as I got tattooed across from the table is Jeff getting his work done...in my kitchen. Surreal moment fo sure!. Got a few pics added to the photo album page but a bunch more on myspace/siriuskayla. Oh, and all the Rock on the Range photos are there too! ROTR is a whole other story...too long, haha, but total fun! Favorite bands I saw of the weekend were Chevelle, Hurt, Clutch, Shinedown, Pop Evil, All That Remains and in no particular order. K~

I am officially on Twitter and Facebook!!! Man, trying to keep up with all this is getting crazy, but sorta enjoyable. haha... Ok, so my Twitter address is www.twitter.com/siriuskayla Come follow me. I'm going to use this to update my whereabouts while at Rock on the Range May 16 & 17. Hopefully we'll get to meet in the dirty drunken rockin fest. Lol You also have been asking me about Facebook. Yes, I am on Facebook. I have my personal page and a fan page under Kayla Riley. Please, become a fan, would love for us to be friends there. With my personal Facebook page, I have decided to keep that private for numerous reasons, I hope you understand. I guess that's it for now. See you on the air. Kayla

Sorry it's been awhile, I'm trying to manage the facebook and the myspace and it's just getting outta control. haha... and people are telling me I need to be on twitter. I think I might need to wait on that... Anyway, added a couple of new pics in the album and also to myspace. We've been having some awesome warm weather here in NYC so I am now on a margarita kick!! Getting ready for Cinco de Mayo, I guess. More soon...

So I was able to be apart of history on Wednesday and joined in with a Tea Party at NYC Hall with the Wilkow Majority crew. First off, I'd like to thank them for inviting me along and for taking care of things that night. It was a great time and an awesome experience. You may hear many things about these tea parties, but overall I'm happy to have been involved to stand up for what I believe in, lower taxes and to uphold the Constitution. And right now, I have to say I'm not happy with how this administration is handling things and as a citizen who voted, I'm standing up! The tea party was peaceful and we all rallied for those speaking the truth and for what we believe is right! As you read this, you may find that we disagree on things & policies, but that's ok, as that what makes America, but I am happy to have been apart of history and not afraid to say!! Too often I keep my beliefs to myself because of the area I live in and industry I work in and it's just not right it happens that way. I'm proud of this country and want it to remain an awesome free country!! I posted pictures under the Photo Album page if you would like to check it out. Kayla

So I had my Wingman tv premiere last night and it went pretty darn good! I threw a mini viewing party to check out the show and we ended up having a great time. Thanks to the awesome people, including my parents, who came out and supported me. It's just a dating show, but it was fun being on camera and trying to pick up dudes. haha... I think I'm gonna have to make more TV work happen in my future. ;) If you want to check out my episode, they have it repeating thru April on the Fine Living Network. I'm episode 8 under the name Kate. haha... that rhymes. You can google Wingman on Fine Living Network and the show will pop up, you can the show times from there. You definitely get to know my a little bit better than what you hear on the radio. Thanks for checking it out. Kayla
